Soccer Time!

Everyone knows what Fall brings:
AWESOME weather, good friends and SOCCER!!

This year we were asked for him to tryout for the select soccer team.  So, he tried out and he made it.   We signed him up and he was selected to play on Celtic White team, the top team.

This weekend the Mead Cup soccer tournament
(the largest youth soccer tournament; 10 states, 7800 kids)
was held right here in our hometown.

WOW~ Was it busy and LOTS of soccer, kids and parents!
Where would they be without us, eh?

In the end, all the practice and hard work paid off.
Our team won the U8 Division!
The BSA Celtics can now claim
Mead Tournament U8 Five-Star Champions!

Do you think the trophies are big enough??

Missing....

Oh How I LOVE the beach!  I can't believe that it has been a month and a half since we were there.  I really want to go back.  Don't you just love that beach breeze and sand under your feet?
The smell of the ocean, ahhhhhh!!!

We met some amazing friends this time and to find that one of the families is from right around here, so funny!  We have already met up with them for Family Bowling Night and it was a great time.  In September, the other couple, minus kids, is going to come for a fun weekend.  We are already looking forward to it.  Here is a snapshot of some of the kids having fun on the beach:

'NO GRIS'

So cute, brotherly love.  He left this sweet sign on his door for his sister.  (as if she knows what it says) And the sign has been on his door for a couple of weeks now and needless to say, it hasn't worked.  They play together so often, in and out of each others rooms by the moment.  I think he has forgotten all about the sign. I think he even forgot why he put it there in the first place.  Cute though.

Maybe the next time he makes a sign to keep her out, he will spell it 'write'.  Love those babes!

Ava Sophia Leukemia Warrior

Some time ago, I received an email inquiry for Matilda Jane Clothing.  The request was from a gal in Maryland, where we don't have a Trunk Keeper.  During our chit-chats over the phone and email, I learned that her little angel, Ava, was just diagnosed with some of the most painful words a mom could hear, 'your daughter has leukemia'.  How heart wrenching that must have been.  Well, needless to say, Melissa and I stay in contact quite often and I always keep up on Ava's progress.  The mountains of emotion that goes into the lives of these two beautiful women amaze me everyday.  I can't write the touching words Melissa does, but needless to say,  the title says it all, Ava is a little warrior.  She fights the fight she has been given and her mom, Melissa, is her Chief.  I can't tell you how inspiring Melissa's words are, but they bring tears to my eyes EVERY time I read them.  She is an amazing mom.  A local Maryland paper, The Aegis has a recent story on Ava and her fight
against Leukemia HERE.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, Ava LOVES to dance...
she is quite the dancing queen.

Sweet Room

I know this is probably so totally lame, especially since I haven't posted in weeks but this is one of my favorite daily sites in my house!  I just love this piece in my daughter's room!  Snagged it up when my FAVORITE scrapbook (and more!) store relocated. (www.livelovescrap.com)

This to me is what being a little girl is about, sweet, pretty
and super cool!!

Bubbles

Well, Lil' Man wanted this bubble face posted, so here goes.  Just happens to be one night bath time was fun for once.  This doesn't happen often, usually bath time is RUSH RUSH because it gets too late.  Anyway, he is cute and so fun!  and did I mention an AWESOME big brother?
