Ready for Summer?

Who is ready for summer?  Me! Me!!  The warm weather, school is ALMOST out and SUMMER officially began over the weekend.  I just love hanging out on the deck with the kids running around in the yard.  Too bad our pond is being 'renovated' right now.  That means no fishing. Bummer.  Hopefully they will be finished SOON and we can get things back to normal out there.  We have LOTS happening over the summer: Birthdays, (and a mermaid one especially!), vacations and one amazing WEDDING!  Stay tuned for all the results via pictures!  And if you don't follow me on Twitter or Instagram, request so today!

Girls-n-Worms

Who says a girl can't dress up and look for worms?  She HAS to do whatever her brother does.  A little worm digging after an early rain on Saturday.  The box holds their collection of 'rolly-poly' bugs and worms.  Probably dead now and up in little man's room.  Great place for those!

Trying to get a few things tidied up for Spring AND get taxes finished.  UGH!  Too much to do and too little time.  I hate that feeling.

Anyway, check out one of my new favorite blogs: www.couldihavethat.blogspot.com

Happy Day!

Count the Blessings

There are so many blessings to count in the world, amongst the devastation we see.  Hug those babes and smell that fresh air.... send many thanks to the powers above that help us see it every day.

May each and all be blessed today and every day!  HUGS!

A little Behind....

Okay ~ I really don't have an excuse for not blogging for SOOOOO long, but I hope to get back into the swing of it.  Blogging doesn't take much time, it is just making a few minutes to actually DO it and think of something that everyone will want to read.
I hope to keep it going!

So Christmas was wonderful and everyone enjoyed time with family.  Always a blessing.  Still missing Uncle S as always, we will always miss him, no matter what the day.
Now a New Year and I think I am going to try to get my running game back into swing.  I plan on doing the Flying Pig 1/2 marathon this year.  Baby steps, baby steps.... Maybe one day the big dog, but for now, the 1/2 will be okay.

One of my new favorite sites is Whippy Cake.  I LOVE these sweet little things.  I ordered one for me and one for Sweet L.  I received them over the weekend and they are super adorable.  I can't wait to sport it around.
Here is a quick picture of my little man doing a big man's job.  He was so proud to go out and shovel a couple of weeks ago.  His first time doing the ENTIRE driveway and steps.  He just wanted paid in hot chocolate.  Super sweet eh?  I love that little man.

Hugs to all and have a great day!!

Soccer Time!

Everyone knows what Fall brings:
AWESOME weather, good friends and SOCCER!!

This year we were asked for him to tryout for the select soccer team.  So, he tried out and he made it.   We signed him up and he was selected to play on Celtic White team, the top team.

This weekend the Mead Cup soccer tournament
(the largest youth soccer tournament; 10 states, 7800 kids)
was held right here in our hometown.

WOW~ Was it busy and LOTS of soccer, kids and parents!
Where would they be without us, eh?

In the end, all the practice and hard work paid off.
Our team won the U8 Division!
The BSA Celtics can now claim
Mead Tournament U8 Five-Star Champions!

Do you think the trophies are big enough??

Missing....

Oh How I LOVE the beach!  I can't believe that it has been a month and a half since we were there.  I really want to go back.  Don't you just love that beach breeze and sand under your feet?
The smell of the ocean, ahhhhhh!!!

We met some amazing friends this time and to find that one of the families is from right around here, so funny!  We have already met up with them for Family Bowling Night and it was a great time.  In September, the other couple, minus kids, is going to come for a fun weekend.  We are already looking forward to it.  Here is a snapshot of some of the kids having fun on the beach:

'NO GRIS'

So cute, brotherly love.  He left this sweet sign on his door for his sister.  (as if she knows what it says) And the sign has been on his door for a couple of weeks now and needless to say, it hasn't worked.  They play together so often, in and out of each others rooms by the moment.  I think he has forgotten all about the sign. I think he even forgot why he put it there in the first place.  Cute though.

Maybe the next time he makes a sign to keep her out, he will spell it 'write'.  Love those babes!

Ava Sophia Leukemia Warrior

Some time ago, I received an email inquiry for Matilda Jane Clothing.  The request was from a gal in Maryland, where we don't have a Trunk Keeper.  During our chit-chats over the phone and email, I learned that her little angel, Ava, was just diagnosed with some of the most painful words a mom could hear, 'your daughter has leukemia'.  How heart wrenching that must have been.  Well, needless to say, Melissa and I stay in contact quite often and I always keep up on Ava's progress.  The mountains of emotion that goes into the lives of these two beautiful women amaze me everyday.  I can't write the touching words Melissa does, but needless to say,  the title says it all, Ava is a little warrior.  She fights the fight she has been given and her mom, Melissa, is her Chief.  I can't tell you how inspiring Melissa's words are, but they bring tears to my eyes EVERY time I read them.  She is an amazing mom.  A local Maryland paper, The Aegis has a recent story on Ava and her fight
against Leukemia HERE.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, Ava LOVES to dance...
she is quite the dancing queen.
Check out Ava's fight against Leukemia

Sweet Room

I know this is probably so totally lame, especially since I haven't posted in weeks but this is one of my favorite daily sites in my house!  I just love this piece in my daughter's room!  Snagged it up when my FAVORITE scrapbook (and more!) store relocated. (www.livelovescrap.com)

This to me is what being a little girl is about, sweet, pretty
and super cool!!

Bubbles

Well, Lil' Man wanted this bubble face posted, so here goes.  Just happens to be one night bath time was fun for once.  This doesn't happen often, usually bath time is RUSH RUSH because it gets too late.  Anyway, he is cute and so fun!  and did I mention an AWESOME big brother?

My little man has been asking me for a week to make this project, so finally tonight... after dinner, reading and homework, we were able to squeeze in time to FINALLY make his little friends. Cute eh?
